Losing your parents

@JohnnyNoir Yes...

Dealing with my aging parents. It’s like they’re becoming teenagers again. I’m just really glad I’m not the only child , the burden would be too much on me.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@SW-User I can relate to this. Sometimes not even like teenagers but toddlers. 😬
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@SW-User Completely understand this

Being verbally attacked in the break room in front of my co-workers.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@FloorGenAdm I am sorry that you had to put up with that.

Being widowed, losing a child. My mother’s illness and subsequent death.

@bijouxbroussard That's a lot

Living past 30. I mean I technically haven't yet but I honestly didn't plan on living this long. Now I've gotta shift priorities or something
SomeMichGuy · M
@UndeadSona Really? Why?
UndeadSona · F
@SomeMichGuy I honestly expected to crash out in a semi rational blaze of insanity. Part of that is I was extremely reckless from 19-23 honestly I think not working consistently back then actually saved me since I wasn't drinking as often as possible due to lacking funds. 🤔 That and not buying a helium tank

Mental disorders... my life feels like a rollercoaster.
SomeMichGuy · M
@Friendlyperson That's rough. I wish you healing.

@SomeMichGuy Thank you... 🥹

All the pain, and things not working efficiently anymore, it’s like our bodies hate us. 🙄
Aysel · F
Even when you know someone is going to die, it leaves you unprepared. I never imagined losing not one, not two, but three people to suicide. My sadness and yearning for what may have been will never go away.
Friendlyperson · 26-30, F
@Aysel Im so sorry about that, my heart breaks for you

CKD. Was totally unprepared, but now I am prepared and will reverse it. I asked God for guidance and he has helped me to know what to do. Doctors lie. Not all, but some, but mostly they're not knowledgeable about such things, so they guess. Even stage 5 CKD can be cured and reversed. One just has to do their research. It is very important that one be their own health advocate.

BS fees snuck in everywhere. One time, I was switching car insurance companies. But I went a few days without insurance. I hadn’t driven in those few days, but that didn’t matter. I received a notice that that caused my car registration to be canceled, and that if I wanted it reinstated, I had to pay a fee on top of paying for registration again.
Registration itself, had BS fluffing up the cost. “Highway tax” and whatever “prison fee” was…An extra $100 for “government”? 🤨 Bunch of lie charges.

@Colonelmustardseed I had to switch auto insurance companies earlier this year, because when I went to renew with my old provider they quoted me some ridiculous rate with an insane down payment because I no longer had this "renewal discount" that I had never seen or heard about since I had been using them.
Colonelmustardseed · 36-40
@SubstantialKick They all just make stuff up and expect no one will notice. 😞

Alot of adult type things are learning as you go and trial and error ..there's no way of truly preparing for most things

Most things. I don't think you can really get prepared for stuff you haven't lived before. Maybe roughly in theory but the real thing? Nope.

@Jeephikelove I understand that and I am sorry for what you have gone through and the loss of your brother. I bad because sometimes I am just waiting for her to die and I feel horrible for it,
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
@iamonfire696 that is totally understandable because that’s the reality. 🤗🤗

Nothing comes to mind that I didn't experience during my childhood.
When my paternal Grandfather was dying of cancer in 1992 when I was 22, everyone was coming to my younger cousins and myself for support because we lost our Dads when we were much younger, it made me very angry and bitter that my Dad's younger siblings were coming to us like we were licensed grief counselors, their Dad was an inlaw so they came to me the most.
