Do you think EP felt more cozy than SW?

CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I don't know, I was at different place in life and in different headspace. It's hard to compare.
All I know is that I've grown very skeptic toward social media sites in general over time. Regardless of the site, some initial magic got lost. I don't see the same spark and will to connect and share.
AbbeyRhode · F
Yes. It felt more personal and real somehow. It seemed like there was more connection on a meaningful level. Maybe I was just more naive, lol. I do appreciate the expense and effort it takes to create such a site, and I am grateful for SW. There are some lovely people here, and I hope to see more discovering the site.

I'll 100% to what your saying and EP has to gone like almost 10 yrs now. I still feel the pain of them closing up shop.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
It was a very different place and time.

Social media has exploded since then.

Politics has changed since then.

Some weaponize social media as a means of expressing their own brand of hate.

Some will express hate using the anonymity social media allows them when they couldn't before.
Madmonk · M
EP was new and something different. Many flocked to it. Then became dark.

SW is much more structured and smaller. The concept is good though.

Even if I am your polar opposite and don’t really like you we both have this SW experience in common and therefore kindred as not many people in general get the unique qualities of this place
Eyeinthesky · 56-60, F
It was more cozy and a lot of fun.
Many interesting posts to read and feel good about myself when I felt so alone.
Alonejasmine was my username, generally people were nicer than SW, I don’t remember any unpleasant time there.
Ramrod · 46-50, M
All i know is i had more friends and talked to more people on EP,im not sure why that is ???
lovelychicadee · 46-50, F
I think they both have their positives. With EP I think it has the aspect of being something new and something many of us positively remember. So with that maybe it feels more appealing. However I do think sw started off with a good foundation and has continued to grow in a good direction. I’m not sure I’d use cozy to describe either but I would say they both offered great supports.
More cozy and less intimidating at the same time LESS INTERESTING.

1. A lot less members of SW as compare to EP
2. Very few trolls on here
3. Organised trolling does not exist over here anymore
4. People trying to sell stuff like camp, people those black magic can things on EP. I miss all of that
Sometimes the whole homepage of EP would be flooded with spam and advertisements from all the trolls
5. EP was wild SW is more sanitised version

SW-User
@nedkelly you obviously forgot about Billy madison and all the other trolls, haters, weirdos etc🙃😅
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@SW-User He was just a pathetic sick troll
JovialMoose · 51-55, M
I was only on EP for a short time but the two seemed different.

EP had some beautiful people and places. It also had some dark stuff going on in dark pockets.

SW is more like the Breakfast Club. We are all stuck in the same room together. On one hand, it makes you realize that there are a lot of awesome people who would usually hide in their respective cliques. On the other, it might hinder the creativity and expressiveness of some individuals.
Absolutely. It is the difference between sitting outside in the winter on the cold earth (SW) or relaxing on a nice leather couch with a warm throw (EP).
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
If you miss EP... look for help first.
Because missing EP can have serious consequences...
Like having a subscription to Nexus magazine. 😱
Domking · 61-69, M
A lot has happened in the last five years and usage of mobile and content available in the internet. People have reduced attention span, and social media has drowned in contents.
That makes it a problem to compare.
EP was nicely structured into groups and we were more focused, involved and inquisitive.
SW is competing with so much of social media and other stuff on internet.
One doesn't feel that kind of involved, focused participation.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
SW is smaller so how could it be more cozy?

EP is long gone and dead. Does it really matter what it was because it’s never coming back and SW is what we have.

I barely remember it anymore at this point.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@mysteryespresso I am allowed to have my opinion on things 😂.

Get lost.
@iamonfire696 @iamonfire696

Get lost
No, you

don’t be rude about it
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@mysteryespresso You’re the one being rude telling me how to feel about it. I can have my opinion and feelings about it. What don’t you understand. These are mine, anyone else can feel any way they want too. I don’t understand why you long for something that’s long gone and will never be again.

I am matching your energy and you don’t like it do you? Try being nicer and you will get that in return.
PatKirby · M
I would have to say yes. More meaningful as well. But this place is a bit livelier though.
PaleandPolluted · 36-40, F
Was there for 2 years barely remember anything about it
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
Experience project was so much fun.
SUPERVlXEN · F
Neither of those two ever felt cozy.
AllycatAD · 26-30, F
doesn't matter much anymore, last i checked using Microsoft Edge the website Experience Project doesn't even exist anymore, it was fun but did have a dark side to it which eventually became it's undoing.

Yeah I certainly felt more comfortable sharing my actual thought
carpediem · 61-69, M
Yes. I still communicate daily with someone I met on EP.
calicuz · 56-60, M
As far as "coziness," they're about the same to me.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
Different place, different time. EP was fun for it being pretty wide open but there was also a darker element to it nearer the end. Since then we've all experienced Covid and tRumpism, this place has gotten nastier too as time has progressed... I don't seem to remember as many godbots on EP though?
James1956 · 61-69, M
Definitely yes and much friendlier.
Umile · 41-45, F
It was fun.

Little bit different.
Can’t remember…it closed back in 2016.
djjohnson · 41-45, M
its different for sure. There were a lot more search options on EP that helped you find specific people to connect with.
Blondily · F
Not more cosy but more exciting. I miss the vibe it had. Everyday was thrilling.
minxy · 46-50, F
Too many years ago now to remember without rose tinted glasses.
SW-User
Nah I didn't really get along with anybody on EP.
Sure if ya liked getting murdered
justlooking2023 · 56-60, M
It had tackier furniture.
