Sit ups seem to be working I think
NewWorldToronto · 51-55, M
It is weight loss and working the ABs. But to ensure you hold your form with the weight loss, there has to be weight training,
NanciA · 46-50, F
@NewWorldToronto Have you tried these?
NewWorldToronto · 51-55, M
@NanciA Yes, it is kind of fun. You really feel it on your stomach, much more than situps.
NanciA · 46-50, F
@NewWorldToronto if you seen my tummy i may not need much then
TexChik · F
Say goodbye to carbs. Check out incremental fasting. Diet does most of the heavy lifting for tummies. Reverse sit-ups, working up to using light ankle weights with it...and walking 15 minutes while tensing your core. Water aerobics is good too. None of those will torque your joints or back.
CaliCanadianAngela · 41-45, F
Sit-ups and crunches help create abs, good diet reveals them. You cannot spot reduce in a particular area, you just have to eat clean in a caloric deficit and stay active.
BigRyanD · 31-35, M
@CaliCanadianAngela I wholeheartedly agree!

The Pilates floor program is a good start - I would spend the money and do a session with a certified instructor that can really help make sure your activating what your supposed to.
guyroberts · 46-50, M
It's definitely a combination of nutrition and exercise. Exercise itself won't do it, you need the right nutrition as well. What have you tried and what has worked? I'm curious to know.
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M
Good luck, I'm struggling with a diet and exercising
BridgeOvertroubledWaters · 61-69, M

QCDog2659 · 61-69, M
Good diet and exercise can help, but age and genetics enter into the equation to; as far as regaining a flat midsection.
Perry1968 · M
Crunching and a good diet. Even just contracting your abdomen slightly whilst you walk. Stand. Training your belly to stay flatter.
Docdon23 · M
combination of fewer sweets or carbs and some exercise--I love eight minute abs video
