Nature Is My Morning Coffee

There’s something special about starting the day with a quiet hike through nature. Before the world gets busy, before the constant notifications and endless to-do lists take over, the trails offer something we don’t get enough of anymore—peace.

The morning air feels a little fresher, the birds seem a little louder, and every step is a reminder to slow down. Out here, time isn’t measured by the clock. It’s measured by the sunrise breaking through the trees, the sound of a nearby creek, and the miles behind you.

It’s easy to get caught up in the rush of everyday life, always chasing the next thing. But nature has a way of reminding us that we don’t always have to be in a hurry. Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is simply breathe, look around, and appreciate where we are.

The trails don’t care what kind of week you’ve had, how many emails are waiting for you, or what’s happening on social media. They simply invite you to keep walking, to clear your mind, and to enjoy the moment.

If you ever feel like life is moving too fast, head outside. Find a trail, leave your phone in your pocket, and let nature do what it does best. You might be surprised how much lighter you feel by the time you make it back.

Some mornings don’t need anything more than a pair of hiking boots, fresh air, and a trail leading into the woods. Those are often the mornings you’ll remember the longest.

I will gladly meet you and go with you holding my coffee cup. And just a pair of hiking boots

A favorite pastime for me as well, especially before my wife took the dogs when she moved out.

I really miss those dogs.

Great advice. We are all guilty of to much screen time, like right now.
