Building My Dream Body and Health: A Journey to Ultimate Wellness

I'm exhausted from dieting. I've probably dieted well over a hundred times. I developed a binge eating disorder around 13 years old and have been chronically dieting and binging my entire life. I've gained more weight since being in a relationship. My boyfriend eats nonstop and can keep off the extra 2,000-3,000 calories because he is so physically active. I cannot. Losing weight isn't the hard part, nor is exercising. It's keeping the weight off and not binging. It's obsessing over calories and food until I break down and eat everything in sight. The stress from my job makes me crave snacks throughout my shift. I've tried everything, from eating mindfully and in moderation to going vegan. I'm bigger than I want to be, but I'm not considered fat. I'm uncomfortable in my body and want to shed my extra weight. The thought of dieting makes me want to scream.

I want to start a health journey focused on caring for my body and stepping into a healthier lifestyle. Today, I'm setting the intention. Tomorrow, I begin my plan.

I developed bulimia at 11, so I can relate to your problem. Have you considered going to therapy to help? Seeing a therapist and psychiatrist has done wonders for me. It took me until I was 27 (this year) to do it 😅 but it’s better late than never. I think the fact that my brain wasn’t producing dopamine lead me to have my food obsession (eating junk = dopamine hit). It may not be your problem but it’s sometimes best to talk to a professional about mental health issues. If we were capable of saving ourselves, we would have done it by now. 🤷‍♀️

@666Maggotz Yes so I have been in a lot of therapy. The therapist I've been working with for years. We touched upon my binge eating. I think I do it for the dopamine hit too. I do it after high-anxiety situations too. I am skeptical but open to trying medication or different therapy techniques. Thank you! This is true.

You can do it Stardust!

I have stuggled with obesity and binge eating most of my life. But the point came when i was sick and tired of the weight, the tiredness, the health issues.

I started my health journey, lost weight, and am.nevef going back.

May you have much success.

why doesn't the stress of your job make you crave lettuce or carrots?
666Maggotz · F
@allygator18 you don’t get dopamine hits from lettuce and carrots. ED’s aren’t meant to be logical to the conscious mind. That’s how mental illness works.

Sounds like u are stress eating. I would find a better way to deal with the stress then with food.
