So when they lift the stay at home what will your summer look like? How about the next year?

Will you go the beach every weekend and hit the bars? Will you live at the mall and eat out every night? Or maybe stay home and cancel all travel plans because untill they find a vaccine and and cure you don't want to catch it? Tell us what your future will look like.

I will go on small local day trips with my hubby. Go out to dinner with my mom. I miss her so much. I'm trying to keep a good outlook for the future. I just don't want to get sick or make anyone else sick.

Good morning! 🌞 My summer is going to be a busy one with the gardens. I/we are hermits anyways. WV is opening up little by little the first of May. So, we are looking forward to our bike rides along the Greenbrier river. And to go to the farmer's markets, fresh foods!... oh and 😁 the awesome flea markets here. If we still need to wear masks..so be it!
This virus also has changed how we shop now. Go less, buy more lol..
Take care, stay well and have a blessed day my friend!

We know someone in the panhandle with private beach access they said we could use with social distancing. I have to be careful regardless of what everyone else is doing so no public beaches for us this year.

@Stereoguy We are hoping to make the beach trip around our anniversary at the end of July. They are 2.5 hours away so it will feel like a mini vacation. 😁

I won’t be hitting our beach at all, it’s filthy when we don’t have this pandemic and people are slobs so I will stay away until September when they leave and go back home. :(

I will see my daughter and grandkids who I will be babysitting again when my daughter goes back to work, and go on day trips with the hub. I would like to eat at restaurants again but will be very cautious before I do that again. We might continue ordering groceries and clothes online. The virus really made the hub and I think really hard about putting our health first instead of being carefree like we were in the past. Our new normal has become normal for us at this point. We've adapted and will continue to be careful until there are no more deaths and hopefully get a vaccine soon.

As I’m in the high risk category, I’ll be sequestered until they have a vaccine. Even if they had a vaccine tomorrow, I wouldn’t be doing any of those things you listed.

I’m not a beach person, and I don’t drink, or enjoy mall shopping, and I prefer to eat at home. I’d ride my bicycle, go for nature walks, and visit animal sanctuaries. I’d enjoy visiting an art gallery with classic art, and if it was really safe, I’d travel to Europe for the summer. @Stereoguy

I know. I hope she is doing better with her health. @Stereoguy

It's doubtful the stay at home orders will lift in Massachusetts for a month or two. I don't know if there will be any summer left to enjoy by then.

@Stereoguy Fortunately for me, personally, I hate being hot, so I will just seal my apartment up and push the AC over into the window.

Due to underlying medical conditions our summer will be laid back. Even if there is a vaccine with my wife's immune system she may not be able to get it with infecting herself. So our camping trips will be in out of the way places, we'll get takeout from restaurants, and shopping will probably be minimal.

@Stereoguy I have that feeling too about reserving sites. A couple of the more popular places we go we may change to more secluded ones.

I'm not afraid of something that has an almost 100% recovery rate, so I will go back to living normally. Still vacation this year, still go to concerts that I have tickets for, etc. Enjoy life!
AnarchoMetalchic · 36-40
@Cloud7593 I agree. People are so scared they're willing giving up their freedom, and sacrificing the economy for something that is no different than the flu. They won't do their own research though.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
It is way worse. The flu doesn’t take up to 14 days to incubate, and if you have it, you know within 3-5 days. Covid-19 may not even give many people symptoms, but they are still highly contagious to others. How nice for you to be so self centered. @Cloud7593
AnarchoMetalchic · 36-40
@Carissimi It's literally no different than the flu. Are lots of people getting it? Yes. Are almost 100% of them recovering? Yes.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
A good question....

Plans I'd made for the Summer and Autumn are almost certainly out of the running, but a friend suggested to me that other day (by 'phone!) that many people will be too nervous to go out and about very much, for a long time to come. That had not occurred to me, but he may yet prove right.
JoePourMan · 61-69, M
My plan is to keep a low profile summer, spend as much time as possible with grandkids.
Hopefully by by September, find a new job.

Never did that in the past.
I probably will go to little shops that are closed now.
Visit family.
I won't be going to the movies or eating in restaurants until I feel safe to do so.
