Our Friday evening routine

Daughter crashed through the front door fifteen minutes ago. Shoes and socks deposited on the doormat. PE bag in the corner where it was thrown, its grubby contents spilling out.

Now starts the race to finish all her homework before dinner. If it is maths or French I may be called upon for assistance. In half an hour I will knock on her door and attempt to separate girl from school uniform so I have a full washing load. I will receive a scowl in return 😅

If all goes according to plan, homework will be completed by 6.30pm and our weekend will start in earnest 😌

It's to have a routine. And great that you can help with math. By the time my daughter was that age, I'd happly forgotten the stuff she was working on.

Ah, bless you mom! I raised my son and daughter by myself and understand this dynamic. Bless you both.
