It's typically the way it plays out. Same with the infrastructure package. The GOP states benefit the most but they put on a show about how they're against it. Then it passes and they hold out their hands. There's a reason the red states scream and yell about spending but take the lion's share of it. They're the most dependent on federal funding. You'd almost think a 'thank you' would be in order from their voters. Or voting for those who actually deliver to try and make their lives better. Nope. Doesn't happen.

Re-package environmental policy as support for business and you can win over the sceptics 🙂 Mind you, these same people will still be calling for 'small government' after they have filled their own pockets 😕
