We used to be ablebto go ice fishing in November here in Minnesota. No it's a gamble if it will even be frozen in February. The big ice fishing tournaments are history.

Well several nearby communities have burned down in forest fires.
One of those situations where forest fires happen, but they are happening with more regularity and severity. We used to have fire seasons, now it's just every month that isn't winter.
In addition there's been a polar vortex effect. Where the average seasonal temp is much higher than it was, but because the polar vortex has weakened, we now get waves of EXTREME cold every other month. So it'll be above freezing one month, and then -50 the next.
Shit is -insane-.

Not yet. But my house is only 15 m above sea level and the roads alongside the fjord to the towns to the north and south are in places only about 4 m above sea level. So it's just a matter of time. Most likely not a problem for me but could be for my children.

Hurricanes and storms are worse. More of my tax dollars are going to FEMA expenditures than ever before.
Also, Christmas skiing is pretty much impossible in the northeast. 15-20 years ago, December skiing was very much a thing.

Yes. Stronger, wetter hurricanes have hit us (e.g., Harvey with 51 inches of rain). Tides are higher, occasionally covering a few roads in our county that are normally dry.

Hottest year on record. Drought. Wildfires. Heard of maybe one tornado in the state growing up and living here for 70 years -- well over a dozen tornadoes last year.
I'm loving how people say it's not real. Where I live has almost done a 180. It stays mild all winter.

We definitely don’t have as much snow as we did when I was a kid

I’ve noticed that my city, where it was foggy and rainy a good part of the year during my childhood, now only seems to rain in the winter months. We’ve had severe droughts and wildfires in the state over the last few decades.
