I am surprised how many know them here.
I love the clean sound. When Coldplay wanted to use a part of Computerliebe in their song Let's talk, they asked a few times but never got a reply. Then Chris Martin wrote a letter to KlingKlang studios ( their production company) in his highschool German to ask for permission. The letter came back with only in the sideline written by Florian,'okay'. Coldplay was at that moment one of the biggest bands in the world!

@helenS I like all kinds of Classical, but I suppose my favorite are the Russians. Don't really know much about Classical technically, I just like to listen to it.

@Atlotto You're welcome and thanks for bring up Kraftwerk. They were early pioneers in analog synthesis (poss. digital too back then) and I fondly remember their song Autobahn. It played in my head over and over when I was in Germany on the A6 cruising at 120 mph back in 1981. :)

One of my friends introduced me to them in high school. They were very innovative, but obscure. They eventually had a hit with “Pocket Calculator” which was neither good nor representative of them.
