Many men remained at home. Males reared children, cleaned the house, cooked meals.

After decades, men were servile. Obedience and humility were the primary masculine qualities.

An imbalance in either direction has problems. We all have strengths and weaknesses and we only succeed when we acknowledge them and work together. Sure men and women are genetically given advantages towards certain tasks but that is not where it begins and ends.
