You'd think more people would know this; it's basically been reduced to the level of parody in movies and TV shows (e.g. a woman with a deranged look on her face saying "a baby will make it all better!") but people in troubled relationships are desperate and are not thinking clearly. Nonetheless, they should try and give it a little more thought, as it really isn't fair to bring a child into the world to solve relationship problems that may be terminal.

That's what social norms were supposed to be for but they devolved into arbitrary oppressive and judgemental nonsense because they do not keep up with/change with the times.

@deathfairy I would add, though, that they should teach the above shit in health class. They should hammer that shit into students heads the same way they do all the useless bs because this would actually be helpful for young people to know by heart.
