Can someone explain something to me?

What is the problem about wearing a mask that covers just half of your face? I really don't get why some are still crying about it 馃.

The mask never really protected you. It's your eyes which need protection.
@SW-User It was really just a temporary solution to try and stop the spread until the vaccine was created.

@latinbutterfly I'm in Healthcare and it can't or won't stop it.
@SW-User Then surely you realize that the mask was supposed to be worn by people who thought they might have been exposed and didn't want to make anyone else sick? That was the point of it. Or do you not bother wearing a mask during surgical procedures?
SW-User
@LordShadowfire I'm not a surgical nurse.
@SW-User I speak hypothetically here. You understand what I mean. The mask prevents you from making other people sick.

Eyes last time I checked don't project viral particles around. If everyone's nose and mouth are covered, they won't spit anything in your eye.
@Elessar Whoa! Common sense!

I will not argue with ignorance. Unless you are in the medical field or Healthcare worker you have no idea. You only know what you read and the media tells you. Do you believe everything you read and hear. Obviously you do. Be up close and on the front lines then we'll talk. Until then I'm quite over this.
@SW-User Translation: "I can't counter this, so have some logical fallacies."

@SW-User Gatekeeping much? Being a nurse or even a doctor doesn't automatically give you omniscience, nor any validity above peer-reviewed research. Just like being a car mechanic doesn't make you an engineer.
@Elessar Argumentum ad authoritatum fallacies only serve to impress herd thinkers such as @SW-User thinks we are.
