Man, can we finally move on from Donald Trump already?

I would like to forget that he was ever the president of the United States 🤷‍♂️😂.

I think we have moved on, but you don't ever move in from a President until either were pass his successor or another person of his party has been elected to that office....

Plus, last we heard, he's running in 2024.

@Viper I wonder if he runs in 2024 if he'll say in advance that if he loses it'll be voter fraud? Also i think it'd be a unique situation for Biden who won on the margin he did in 2020, to then lose to the same person without doing two terms. Here's hoping nothing comes of it.
@SW-User i expect him to be impeached by the Senate or in federaln prison in 2024.
Viper · M
@SW-User he basically did, he said there was no way he'd lose a fair Election.

I'd be interested to know if he would actually run again... personal I think it would be extremely stupid, as he seemed extremely unhappy and he honestly might have a ton of power and happiness just as a media guy, without all the responsibility. That would be a win-win I would think, but I'm also not sure he's creative and open minded enough, I think he might need to be the top guy mentally, even if he hates the responsibilities.

Also, where does this leave Rand Paul, who's basically trying to fill the Trump vacuum and get in the Trump lane to run in 2024...

What happens if they both run? What will the reaction be?

Also what will the reaction be if only one ran?

I think the untold success of early Trump was that there was only one person in the wild and crazy lane running, while there were 10 to 15 in the responsible moderates which cancelled each other out... and Trump got traction.

Just too many unknowns... and with all due respect, Trump isn't the youngest person, 4 years can be a long time.

@Elandra77 not gonna be impeached... 45 Republicans just voted to say the impeachment is unconstitutional

Which is clear bull💩

And much easy bar to reject... so only 5 Republicans agreed to the easy judgement... getting 17 to agree to the hard one might be impossible without extremely damning proof that Trump knowing did something, and he doesn't like getting his hands dirty...

I've actually been a bit surprised, they haven't also went after Rudy to stop him from holding an office again, he actually talked about trail by combat.

Republicans aren't the party of knowing and understanding and protection the constitution no more...

@Viper Lots of interesting points with much outside of my level of understanding. But isn't it really expensive to run? Where would he get the money for that?
Viper · M
@SW-User It is expensive, which is why most of them don't run on their own money...

Not totally sure where all the money comes from, but those guys never seem to go broke...

And some seem to run just help with book sells and to add to their resume, of candidate and stay relevant, even if I don't think they're really trying to win.

@Viper Imagine if the rest of us could apply for a job and get knocked back, yet it still looks good on our resume.. and then there's the book sales 😃 ... i think we need to organise this for the working folk 😂
