Have you ever tried to give advice and got scolded/yelled at?

I have yelled at people or just ignored them for asking and telling me insensitive shit I didn't ask them to tell me. Or questions so dumb .
I generally don't give people advice unless they ask me but I don't tell anyone what to do either.
