Never trust an atom. They make up everything 🤭

Here's what bugs me about atoms, given that the space between the atom and the nucleus is thousands of times greater than either, everything is mostly nothing, so why cant I walk through walls and why do cars crash when they could just pass through each other.
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
@goldenorchid Easy! All you have to do is adjust the electromagnetic force that binds either your atoms or the wall’s atoms together to a co-phased frequency so that one can pass through the other. The issue of course is the risk that your atoms may lose cohesion in the process which would lead to a catastrophic existence failure. 😋

@Zaphod42 you mean like in "the fly"?
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
@goldenorchid No, “The Fly” dealt with molecular recombination of DNA causing the subject to become a chimera. I’m talking about the atoms of your body becoming unable to maintain cohesion due to manipulation of the electromagnetic field that binds them together. In that case a person would simply cease to exist as the atoms float away into the ether.

@Zaphod42 I think I'll give both a miss and just walk around things and open doors, it's been ok this far.

@goldenorchid I feel ya! 😂

@Zaphod42 now there's something you couldn't do with your magnetic cohesion thingummyjig.

@goldenorchid hahaha! Fair point! 🤣😅
