Started out on Twitter. It's someone with a very large following on social media. The larger the following, the more $s they get, for mentioned products, restaurants, services, etc.

I think of instagram and girls parading

They also go by “brand ambassador”. Basically men or women, who “sell” their “beauty” or because of their high traffic of followers, as a way to help sell products for businesses. They’re usually on instagram doing it.

Is this mostly for young teens or under 20? I don’t imagine adults follow such people.@Temporallube

@SecondMarge I’m not sure the age ranges, but there are definitely people in their 20s following them. It’s definitely not just under 20.
I think the product is relative to the age of the influencer I think.
I’ve seen influencers in their 30s. And they help market product as according to what the business may think the influencer’s audience would purchase.

Those who spread Influenza 😷😵
UnderTheBridge · 51-55, M
Sometime with influenza. (joking)
ArishMell · 70-79, M
It's an on-line advertising method - the "influencer" is the person you see and hear trying to persuade you to buy the product.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. There's one called Cookie's World C who's been shilling to my 5-year-old. Turns out when this kid was 21, she was worth 10 million $! Who pays her that!?!
SecondMarge · F
More importantly how do I get them to pay me@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP
ImperialAerosolKidFromEP · 51-55, M
@SecondMarge I can answer that: charisma and hype's got a lot to do with it: that's why I'm a working stiff.
