It never has. Except for millennia in places like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Yemen, Oman, Iran, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Albania, etc...pretty much most of mankind for most of our history. Choosing your mate is so 17/18 century European.@bijouxbroussard

Very true. In some of those places it happens to girls as young as 12. Can a pre teen really be trusted with that choice?@bijouxbroussard
