What's a word of your language stemming from another one which you despise?

In the german language, for me it's "handy", a german word used for the today's "smartphone". Quite some germans travel abroad, and when they get to talk about smartphones, they always say "this is my handy" and others are like "your what?"

Funny, in U.S. English, “handy” means “useful or close at hand”. A good way to describe a smartphone.
