I was on stage during a solo performance at a competition and my string snapped. It made a scary ass fucking noise and my bow got caught in it. It was in front of everyone and I started crying a little because I thought I was going to lose for sure and not get the reward (money), which my mother needed for something I don't even remember anymore.
I freaked out and my teacher asked if I could have a few minutes to change my string, and the judges permitted it. They gave us like 2 minutes or something to replace the string, fix the bridge, and tune it, which definitely isn't enough fucking time at all, not like they gave a fuck. So my teacher ran to his car to get his violin and gave it to me. It was so fucking stressful and embarrassing. I didn't want to look at anyone when it was over.

@Straylight Nope. They docked a fuck ton of points because they're ruthless bastards. And I wasn't really used to my teacher's violin because it was a 4/4, so I ended up getting 2nd and no reward money. Lost to a girl 4 years older than me and it sucked.
