Why don't some people like sarcastic people?

I'm one of them and that's who I am. I may love jokes and be sweet, but don't think I'm going to take crap from you. I can take a joke so you can make fun of me too. What I don't get is some people take life too seriously. Lighten up. We're going to mess with you. I do it for fun, not to be mean. One girl doesn't like me because I'm sarcastic and tried to change me but I told her this is who I am and I am not going to change. If she doesn't like it, too bad. She says I'm too sarcastic and joke too much. I just laughed. She didn't look happy to see me but I don't care. It's who I am. Not being mean. Being true to myself.
Plus sarcasm runs im the family.
