No because they're expensive, have crappy sound quality compared to wired earbuds, and you have to charge them up. And they drain your phone battery.

@BlueMetalChick I wonder why people use it to flex on others lol!
BlueMetalChick26-30, F
@Kugelblitz I guess cos of the price tag. People did that with Beats headphones too. They're shoddily made so they fall apart in a few months, and they have awful sound quality, but they're like $250 a pair so people would show them off.

@BlueMetalChick Beats is a perfect example. Sooooo many better headphones for less money.

@SW-User I was so impressed when Beats and Monster separated cos I thought they would both stay shitty. Beats did exactly that but Monster started producing some really badass headphones. I have a pair of Inspirations from years ago and they can still go toe to toe with a lot of the headphones being manufactured today.

Beats' inferior build quality and crappy sound would be perfectly acceptable if they were priced as such. Brands like Skullcandy, for example, aren't anything special. Run of the mill sound, average build, but they're like thirty bucks a pair. Something you use to listen to music on the bus or train, or while skateboarding. Beats are priced way the fuck up there along with top notch brands like AKG, Grado, or Beyerdynamic.

@BlueMetalChick Such an audiophile 馃槒 I like to shop around for brands that don't get a lot of mainstream attention, like these.

@CrustyDDingus I'm ok with mainstream brands so long as they make good products. The one celebrated brand I hate to death is Sennheiser. Overpriced fucking trash. People tout them as if they make high quality products but Sennheiser headphones have about the sound capacity that a forty dollar pair of Koss phones do.
CrustyDDingus36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick I don't like the build quality of Sennheiser, and you're not the first person to compare them to Koss. 馃槀

@BlueMetalChick @CrustyDDingus hey, I wonder if you guys can help me out. I'm looking for new closed circumaural wired headphones in the US$300 range and I don't know what the current market is. I'm using them at home so I don't really care what they look like, and I don't want to pay more for chrome. I just want good durability and the best sound quality for the money. Do you have any recommendations I can look at?
CrustyDDingus36-40, M
@SW-User well I鈥檓 into curiosity buys myself, in fact I just bought a pair of OneAudio鈥檚 Fusion A7 from Amazon. They were about $50 but don鈥檛 cancel out audio bleed or isolate it. They came with two cords: left side takes a 6.3 jack and the right takes a 3.5 or you charge it up for the Bluetooth function. I鈥檓 sure Zoe will have a safer, more practical recommendation though.

@CrustyDDingus yeah, isolation is really important, my husband doesn't like the same kind of music as me.
