@Gusman Did you find it didn't happen so much in the latter days of cassettes?

@supersnipe Honestly? I had no idea how prevalent it was. But it was not the cassette doing it. It was the player. So maybe the players improved? We got rid of the player as they aged and got the latest model.

@Gusman It was a problem sometimes in the 70s/80s but yes I think the players got better. I had a cassette player in a car until recently - it never chewed a tape in years. It had to go when the associated CD player burped, though. New head unit - plays CDs and sticks and BT. Guess what those sticks are even easier to lose than the tapes were...🤔
