Do surveillance cameras make you feel safe ?

SabrinaKinkle · 26-30, F
Not always and not in the bathroom, but most of the time. It doesn’t seem to add up though. Theme parks have HD cameras automatically, but street cams seem to never fully have it as clear when reporting an incident on tv. A person can say the store could not afford better, but an entire area doesn’t make sense. Especially public open areas. No to the bathroom though. Ofc

Totally, this camera will help me confirm that I was peeing.
Milkshake · F
@SW-User it will make sure you flush too...
SW-User
@Milkshake Yes, we wouldn't want me not flushing. Plus we can make sure I wiped. I fell safer already.

Mine simply let me see where I don't have windows.

I've never seen one in a restroom (especially aimed at the toilet)...but in answer to your question, they don't really make me feel any safer. Unless there is security or police watching it at all times and are prepared to move at the drop of a hat, what good are they really? I mean they can only help investigators see what has happened after the fact. If someone is robbing, mugging, or killing me...how will it help to be filmed for later review?
