Why is texting someone you haven’t talked to in a while always so awkward? Or is this just me?

Nope , happened to me recently. We were friends for 3 years and then she became intolerable and rude . Haven’t spoken to her in 2 years . Then she shows up over thanksgiving ( on here) . I didn’t like it . She wanted to get a dialogue going . I blocked her. Never give a second chance to someone that threw your friendship back in your face ! Words I live by. 😁👍🏻

It's kind of like you have to get to know each other again. When I was young, I only saw my cousins once a year and we were really shy at first but were then getting on like a house on fire when it was time to leave again.

I find it can be awkward as well. Maybe because once you have not talked to them in a while you may not know if they still want to.

Because you dont know if they will remember you

I just delete people if they don't respond within 24 hours.

just fire it offf lol
