Because MANY men are convinced that it IS the person themselves, no matter how obvious it is that the avi is an image from the Internet.

Hm...mine is female - I don't think I get an unusual amount of attention for it. It's the mood of both the pic and the words that serve as bait in those situations. If you wish to be seen as just human, you can do so.

Lots of desperate men. Not a criticism of them but their outlets for their needs are often gone due to various societal and legal constraints.. which leaves the internet for them. And then you kinda get a vicious spiral going

Just be easier if everyone used their own face. Or part of it.
