I'm convinced it's about the number of "friends" one racks up on places like Facebook, for example. During the brief time I had a page (I deleted it back in 2009), colleagues who wouldn't have spit on me if I'd been on fire not only tried to friend me, but got upset when I didn't accept the requests. Seriously ? 🙄

People liked me in high school. Middle school, not so much. I was just super angry and not very pleasant to be around.

Good question. I actually had someone apologize for the way they used to treat me. It blew me away.

Because whoever has the most friends on social media wins.
