I have a pitch for a movie

You follow a man named Gregory with his family, he does normal things every day, takes appointments, attends meetings, etc. But something is just a little bit off, characters seem to expect things to happen before they happen, you watch the movie thinking this and that it's just a tad bit boring a lot of the time. Midway through it's revealed that the entire town Gregory lives in has unanimously decided to pretend that they've gone back in time about 20 days before something awful in the town unfolded. You now get to watch Gregory deal with this dilemma and discover what happened. Maybe you'll rewatch the movie just to pick up on the clues you didnt pay attention to that explains the plot.

I thought of this because of laundry.
