Is this wrong of me?

Proverbs 14:31
‘Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.’

So, I give cash to the poor when I can. But. I always try to figure out if they're using first. I kind of feel like it's wrong of me.

I understand what you're trying to say. It's not my fault what they do.

But.

I still don't want to give them that knife.
