So I remember how awkward it was, sometimes nobody wanted to be with me

Cause they wanted to be with their friends. That made me feel sad, to feel that. Like I didn't fit with that group or anyone.

.... But also I felt glad and peaceful to be on my own, in my own space, specially if I didn't have to have them around me at all. Like you end up cherishing that space alone.

And finally grateful it was over.
I was always hoping to have many friends when I was in school. I dreamed about hanging out with them, but never really had that chance. But then college came around and I started making many friends... but I disliked keeping up with everyone, so I went back to being alone again.

I think there are advantages to being alone, as well as being with others.
@SW-User I think most people would wish to be popular. I know I did. But I guess I changed my mind thereafter.

@LookingForSomethingNew the reason that doesn't work for me is that I'm too much of a loner to enjoy popularity, to enjoy following others or being followed, I often need space, so yeah, while I may enjoy inspire others, I don't like "popularity" itself
@SW-User I see. It sounds like you realized that about yourself earlier on. That's good :) It took me a long time to figure out the same.
No. Every time I was cruelly excluded, ritually excluded and told to get out I was glad to be away from the group.

I am sorry Gaiia. I understand the need for space but when you feel like you don’t fit in, it’s such a crappy feeling too.

@iamonfire696 yes it's tough
