Not condoning cheating but is no one else almost more outraged by the invasion of privacy by having kiss cams?

His poor wife already must have known thrre was something strange since who admits to liking Coldplay?
Persephonee · 26-30, F
@zonavar68 oh sure the problem is of their own making but the bloody camera is unnecessary and silly anyway
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@Persephonee They 'accepted' the terms/conditions - pure and simple. If you don't like the terms/conditions of a place, don't go to a place. Whether you think it's invasive or whatever is not up to you to decide unfortunately.
Persephonee · 26-30, F
@zonavar68 Sorry but I agree the onus is on then, but it 100% IS up to me to decide whether I think it's invasive as a general principle. That's how opinions work.

It could be possible his wife grew tired of physical intimacy and drifted away from it physically and mentally. It happens. He met a woman who appreciated him, showed him respect, laughed with him, had fun with him and eventually, gave him good and plentiful sex.

It happens. Few go to the cheating side of town right away. Few don’t go at all. They still find comfort in memories and stable company, friendship. Very few get away with cheat,

The man will take all the blame and lose half his stuff or more. It is possible he is not totally at fault.

Or, he’s a douche, this isn’t his first rodeo and he already has cheated on this one too.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
It does seem all the comments are aimed at the man but let's not forget the woman is equally to blame for their own downfall.

Nevertheless, I have no time for such voyeurism, and those who spread the images around Twittogram or wherever being as bad as the salacious nonentities who make the videos in the first place.

The performers should remember people pay good money to hear and see them on stage, not intrusive and totally needless videos of the audience - their employers. Performers who feel needing to stoop so low, clearly feel afraid they are not centre of attention that they are paid to be - so instead of concentrating on selling goods fit for purpose, they make themselves not the centre.

The two concerned were self-destructive idiots.

The band were idiots to deflect attention from itself to two strangers in the audience.

The band and its promoters are idiots to use voyeurist images of their own fans as entertainment.

The "viral" types are idiots.

No-one comes out of this with any credit.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Invading peoples' privacy as a source of "entertainment" is so creepy. I would propose a joint lawsuit against the organisers of the concert to help cover some of the divorce expenses.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@zonavar68 No, they don't - and the companies exploit the fact by making the terms basically unreadable. Literally "small print", pages of pseudo-legal waffle, but all saying to the customer, "You as Customer, agree that You pay The Company to serve the Company as it decides".

Quite apart from catching out alleged adulterers though, I ask the legality and morality of filming strangers without their specific permission or control, for others' entertainment.

Who is making the video?
Who owns its contents?
What is done with it after the show?
What protection does it have from wrongful use?
What warnings are given to the audience prior to even buying the tickets, that the audience as well as performers will be videoed for reasons other than genuine TV broadcast or performance publicity?

People worry about security cameras in shops but those are there for a genuine reason. What of worrying about so-called "kiss-cameras" used for no genuine reason or justification?
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@ArishMell people still go. Unless people stop going things won't change. Buy tickets - accept the conditions..same as buying insurance or entering into a lease or other sort of commercial contract.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@zonavar68 A fair point, and anyway most people would not be picked out by any cameras anyway.
GunFinger · F
Thank you to kiss cam. Didn't find out the hard way.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
It’s absolutely consumed the internet. I’ve never seen anything take over my social media like this has.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@ArishMell exactly. I can understand that it’s a trainwreck and people can’t stop looking but it’s on a different kind of level now. It’s more than just “trending” it’s exploded.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@DoubleRings Can't be much else worth reading on those sites....

Kirstin and Andy will both soon be single and free to hookup for another concert playdate 8-)
JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
I guess he won't be reported to HR.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@JoyfulSilence This goes on all the time in executive circles at businesses - bosses/managers (whether male OR female) having naughty flings or even outright full blown sexual encounters with other bosses/managers (whether male OR female) or wives/husbands/partners of said bosses/managers. It's a toxic aspect of modern corporate management culture where everyone is 'fair game' for sexual conquests. Both men and women are to blame equally.

Another well-known recent infamous case is Elizabeth Holmes and Sunny Balwani both former exec's of Theranos. Sexual favours traded for business 'needs'...
JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
@zonavar68

It is harder in my office since all private offices have at least one glass wall. There are security cameras everywhere. We have to badge in the enter most suites, and even exit the elevator on an upper floor! We have no right to privacy on our computers. At least the cell signals are strong enough.

Imagine finding out that way that your husband likes Coldplay...

@zonavar68 Why on earth are people making moral judgments about legitimate activities between two consenting adults? Activities that will have minimal impact on those around them. I would venture (without knowledge) that both routinely engage in "tax minimisation" strategies which may account for their relative career successes. Americans should be enraged by rich people stealing from the poor, not their private relationships.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
Kirstin Cabot's husband and kids are the forgotten victims of her cheating with her boss.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@zonavar68 Indeed - and the man's own wife and family, too.
busted! and for that? 🤣
@beermeplease when you are holding hands like that...you might as well be cooing at each other
@LILY61 what i meant was he's cheating on his drop dead gorgeous wife for "that" ...unfortunately his kids will see this one day too
@beermeplease i am sure they have already seen it from other kids
DownTheStreet · 56-60, M
The world makes no sense when the wife loses out to that HR director. Then again, maybe she didn’t …
NinaCherry · 26-30, F
@DownTheStreet yeah, the wife is hotter even
