I've lost friends over not telling them what my birthday is, isn't that super silly?

They're like "OH SO I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU TO TELL ME THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF HU?!"
People reeeally hate it when you have boundaries.

I have started to run into this and it's kind of amazing (in a sad way) that this creates a wall. I keep reminding myself, if this wall is necessary for them to put up, then it's worth it. I agree though that it is bizarre this mindless social custom of birthday is what trips people up and causes them to recoil.
