embarrassed

Are you embarrassed to talk about your feelings and needs
helenS · 36-40, F Best Comment
That's a very good question, and there is no simple answer.
On the internet, such as on SW, I am completely anonymous – nobody knows who I am, or my whereabouts. That enables me to speak open and freely about everything, including my feelings and my emotional or physical needs, without any embarrassment.
In my so-called "real life", there is only a handful of persons with whom I can speak without holding back anything (including sexual things). There are more than enough things in my life that I would not tell all the world because that would make me feel uneasy or embarrassed.
So – my answer is, in short, "yes and no". 😏
@helenS I find even on here i am judged so i have removed some of my posts and groups

@nevergiveup Of course, there are many questionable groups on SW. You can't just post anything you want, and I think that's ok.
Thank you for "Best Comment"! 🌷

Embarrassed isn't the reason. Social pressure is totally the reason why I have even deleted certain posts. Not afraid to talk about many things, and have before. Yet constant harassment I can not tolerate.

I block or mute no one. Yet those that have blocked me is extremely high. Yet even then some would rather harass others than let them have their say. Even if what is mentioned is harmless "past" experiences.

They view that only their values really matter under ALL circumstances. To me that is fanaticism, which is just plain wrong to me.

Not now but I used to be.

Talking about my disability and health problems with potential dates is difficult for me. I find guys understand better than girls.

@nevergiveup i had an ex boyfriend two years ago who was younger than me. When he used to visit me at my apartment (without my family knowing) he said he didn't mind helping me with daily living tasks at all.
@AirForce687 I had a woman friend like that. She was just a friend and never judged.

@nevergiveup My ex would often come over three hours before a date just so he had enough time to get me ready.

Not any more. Had two bouts of stress and depression. Work arranged counselling for me which I wasn’t comfortable with to begin with but it worked out in the end. Lost my job due to long absences but they made me an attractive offer. That was scary but it worked out ok.
I don’t labour the point, I don’t moan and groan but I am more aware that sometimes it’s good to vocalise fears, worries, anxieties etc that every day life throws your way.
