When does underwear turn into lingerie ?

When you're with an admirer and all your wearing is underwear, lights low, romance in the air... Suddenly "poof" your knickers become "lingerie."

more cloth, lower price : underwear

When it matches and has some lace or sheerness.

I think when there's extra unnecessary stuff but somehow there's less of it.
