@tenente Me too with GI Bill.

Academic and Athletic scholarships. I had money from the sale of my biological parents' farm and belongings. I was set. My adoptive parents wanted to cover the incidental expenses and I wouldn't allow it. Their retirement planning never included them adopting me. The School took care just about everything I needed.

My parents paid for most of it.

I took out a loan to cover the rest, which I fully paid back a few years ago.

I went to a city college, back then $8 per semester plus lab fees. Medical school required me to take out some government loans.
Achelois · F
I worked weekends and evenings in restaurants and bars.
MarineBob · 61-69, M
Attended about a dozen classes and graduated early because of covid.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@MarineBob COVID screwed up a lot of plans. So college was delayed, by the Marines?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Mainly parents and partly scholarships.
