A bit bummed out

As a woman who comes off a bit masculine sometimes I feel like women get the wrong idea about my intentions . I’m a tomboyish woman for reference but I do like to mix an androgynous look with femininity on myself .

I asked this woman in my college class if she’d like to hang out as friends sometime since we do get along well . It’s the end of the semester and summer vacation is starting soon so why not

She said , “yes ! I’d like that” and sent me a message to get in touch with her on instagram . So I requested to follow her and she has not accepted the request since .

I think she got the wrong idea about me and it bums me out a bit since I’m breaking out my shell and wanting to make female friends but not for romantic reasons . Mind you , I like men 😔

Sometimes I wish I were more feminine to be honest or maybe I just need to accept myself as my weird self
