Often because I seek that
I used to try to learn a new one daily but I've been slacking. Now it's maybe monthly or every few months
Almost everyday....

When I'm reading a book usually
Mellomarsha · 61-69, F
Pretty much daily. Multiples if I've read George Will's column. Then there was William F. Buckley Jr. and William Safire, William Least Heat-Moon. Leafing through the thin pages of the dictionary back then slowed my reading speed to a mosey.
Not often. On average maybe once every trecena.

I do a lot of crossword puzzles and run across new words often.

"Of a new word"? Not often, as they don't consecrate new words every day

About once every 3 months I think. The most recent word I learned is spurned. It means to reject or refuse someone or something with contempt.

Do you mean an ordinary word, a big word or a swear word?
