Yes, learning to read, write, and do math are fundamental skills that are important for various aspects of our lives. These skills serve as the building blocks for further education, personal development, and overall success in life. Going to school provides a structured environment for learning these essential skills and helps individuals develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities. So, it is indeed important to go to school to acquire these foundational skills that will benefit you throughout your life.

All three are essential basics.
All three are apart of social acceptance, which is mostly learned in schools.
No social acceptance, you simply won't get anywhere in society.
Interesting to note that much of the SAT is based on how you fit in society. Give socially inept answers you just won't do well even in colleges or universities.
The same can be said of any job opportunities. Your first six months is basically a social test. How you deal with your coworkers and those higher up in the chain affects even your social standing at your work. The same equivalents are in schools. Even letters of recommendation happen in both jobs and schools.
Schools do far more than learning specific subjects. They teach how to behave socially. Like being on time and how to interact with others in a group with lots of different types of groups and superiors.
All of this based on those same three subjects!

Those are very important, in a way necessary even. You actually don't really need to go to school for them, in some cases, perhaps even in many cases, school can actually be a hindrance in learning about them, giving people misconceptions about them, giving people bad experiences about them, making people lose interest in them.

School would teach you the proper way to structure that “sentence”.
