anyone here ever used outschool to keep their kids learning during summer

in other summers i bought my kids like workbooks and we would go to the library and get books to read but im considering this year to sign up my oldest 3 onto some sort of class or camps through there. It was actually my oldest son who said something about it one his friends from church who is homeschooled they attend classes on there.

They've been sitting in a classroom for 9 months. Give them a break. Let them be kids.

@Mountainlady16 It worked when I went to school. It will work now. My peers and I turned out fine. You will regret not letting your kids have a real childhood. Bye.

@CactusJackManson let me point out to you also i live in a part the country where its to hot to go outside for long periods of time most the day. right now my kids are watching some tv and reading because its over 85 degrees and thats in may

@Mountainlady16 It's called summer. Even though I had air conditioning growing up, I went outside to play in the heat. It didn't bother me. Keeping them inside will prevent them from enjoying the true beauty of nature while partaking in normal childhood adventures. We'll have to agree to disagree. Bye.

Learning goes on throughout the year of course, but the summer is my daughter's own time. She's not naturally academic and does well enough to behave and stay motivated throughout the long school year.

@SunshineGirl my kids are more naturally academic today the real first day of summer break and they were all reading for awhile earlier my oldest even read some to my his toddler sister and cousin but now it's a bit cooler and I let them go outside
