Can you help me with this ?

Do you guyz know how can one improve vocabulary ?(for an exam)
I try to do so but after a few days , I just forget everything and every new day I have to do like 30 new words .

Try making those words a part of your everyday vocabulary and then you will never forget them.

@Alright023: Reading a lot and working new words into your everyday speech are good suggestions but they will take time. If the exam is soon I think you'll just have to wing it. My guess is you don't enjoy reading, or at least don't do it much? Maybe haven't found the kind of books you would like.

Don't just look up the new words...force yourself to USE them in sentences. "Word a day" calendars used to be popular. All day long, you have to try to USE that particular word...and then go on to the next one the following day.

@4meAndyou A friend of mine in the seventh grade sat down with a thesaurus one night and came up with the following gem.

"You are indubitably jaundiced by my obviously superior intellectual caliber and show minimum solicitude for my ecstacy!"

@DrWatson How perspicacious he was, to elucidate upon his vastly superior intellect! Obviously he was in alt!
You should try to write out what your issue is more clearly.
Is the exam about defining words? or using them in particular situations?

@LamontCranston It's about Reading Comprehension and to answer questions on the basis of that .
@Alright023 As someone else said, you wil have to read more although that is unlikely to help you in the short term. The best thing is to see the word used in a number of different kinds of sentences so you become familiar with it in a context. The Merriam-Webster online word of the day (I look at this daily for interesting word origins or histories) gives definitions, synonyms and a number of real life use examples.
Put determined effort into this. Communications skills, starting with word meaning comprehension, whether through reading or listening, are among the MOST important things you can learn.

Read challenging and well written books.
Study with a friend. Make flash cards.

@Alright023 Try using the new words in a story.

You gotta do it for the long term. You can't cram that kinda stuff. Brain doesn't work like that. Aim for months instead of days
