Men are more likely to do dangerous work, therefore men are more likely to die younger, be it on the job, in combat,...etc. Those men who don't die "of old age" bring the average life expectancy down.

I'm not really sure. Maybe men are more prone to violence or something so they die young more often. Or maybe cos there's more men in the army than women.

There's dozens of major influences on that statistic, including but not limited to: mental health issues, physical health issues from negligence, poor diets, dangerous and/or demanding careers, violent crime, substance abuse, genetic vulnerability to disease, lack of social support. There's no silver bullet here. There's a ton of things that slowly erode the well-being of men in the world. Fuck patriarchy. Life isn't easy just because you have a Y-chromosome.
