The serial killer who shot 19 kids at school

Also tortured dogs and cats. People who torture animals eventually go to humans.
Turtlepower · 36-40, M
:/ some people are truly sick.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
Unfortunately true
not always, a stupid assumption
DailyFlash · 56-60, M
@MiserableAtBest yeah it’s the mark of a sadistic sociopath.
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@MiserableAtBest @DailyFlash I think perhaps that @YukikoAmagi tortures animals and does not wish to admit it.
@CorvusBlackthorne i like to torture kittens and i can't wait to kill my first human
Peapod · 61-69, F
It's actually a historical fact. Most serial killers have had this in their young years.
Repete · 61-69, M
It may be a fact that MOST have this in their young lives and I hate animal cruelty but does ALL that is cruel to animals turn into a serial killers? The answer is NO . The problem with assuming because someone does this then they will do that is you come to the wrong conclusion MOST of the time. I don’t know why he shot all those people . It was a horrible thing. But the part that I keep coming back to is it took time to get that much ammunition, magazines , guns and armor this was planned ( maybe not exact but something was)
Maybe the cruelty was a clue this time but I think something else was overlooked. Just my opinion.
I do think that seeking characteristics of serial killers in schools and studying successful interventions (catching them before they do harm) is the most productive way forward on the whole issue.

He's a mass murderer
Rhode57 · 56-60, M
@SW-User Agreed
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Technically he wasn't a "serial killer" but a "mass murderer"; I guess the distinction only makes a difference to police and psychiatrists because it helps them understand what happened and possibly to help catch the killer.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
This was one of several flags that he gave out, parents by his age were probably thinking he was old enough to not be their problem. Soceity's problem now.
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@Subsumedpat If only there were laws for how to deal with such red flags...
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
@CorvusBlackthorne Oklahoma has a law against red flag laws.
Johnson212 · 61-69, M
@CorvusBlackthorne There are in 19 states, since Florida enacted theirs they have used it over 8,000 times to take guns away and have probably impacted a number of suicides. I don't think Florida was about to have 8,000 school shootings though so it is hard to say they work for that. What they won't do is significantly effect the number of gun murders which are the result of violent crime not mental illness red flags and they will be misused. What does work and would have worked in this case is lock the door. Not a single child has been gunned down behind a locked classroom door. They not only did not lock the classroom door they had propped the exterior door open and there was not a single person on campus who could deal with an armed intruder. That is your real failure in this tragedy. And what of those 8,000 in Florida who they took their guns away under a red flag, how many were justified, and what about ok you take their guns but the problem and flags are still there. Something is still apt to happen.
SteelHands · 61-69, M
They care about brutal treatment of animals. They care so much about so many things that they can't care for real.
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
There will always be sociopathic people among us.
It's the guns we have on purpose.
This is what we do on purpose.

You're right. It's relatively common with serial killers.
It seems reasonable that this is true.

And heinous.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
he is a mass murderer because he didn't hunt his victims down one by one
Yeah, sadly that’s often a red flag. 😞
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
Invariably.
