I filed a child abuse case against one who punched the student in the face. His lawyer wanted it downgraded to slight physical injuries.

I support their immediate termination.

I support kids getting there Ass kicked for disrespecting others or the system, learn young before A bullet gets put in the head,or a life in prison because of a decision that could be changed before it becomes a EGO fueled mistake.

It depends on the situation and what force is being used, but I can admit that putting hands on students aren't always the best way of making your point across nor is it the most effective way of handling situations especially in the learning environment. However, circumstances do come up and you have to defend yourself. We live in a crazy world with lots of mentally ill individuals. You don't know what a particular student is capable of doing. Regardless, if you're in a work, learning, public environment. If you have to defend yourself from being injured or even worse killed yourself, defend yourself from some of these creatures.

No, anyone ever laid a hand on my child they better watch out. I would go out of my way to destroy their career, they are supposed to teach and care for the children, they have no idea why a child behaves the way it does and negative reinforcement of any kind let alone physical abuse has been proven to stunt a child's development.
Talk to the kid, if you believe they are just testing boundaries then detention is there for reason.
