It depends on the situation and what force is being used, but I can admit that putting hands on students aren't always the best way of making your point across nor is it the most effective way of handling situations especially in the learning environment. However, circumstances do come up and you have to defend yourself. We live in a crazy world with lots of mentally ill individuals. You don't know what a particular student is capable of doing. Regardless, if you're in a work, learning, public environment. If you have to defend yourself from being injured or even worse killed yourself, defend yourself from some of these creatures.
