Where do you stand?

Politically I'd say I'm middle/left.

Don't understand or agree with the the far right. Never will.

Yes I had my vaccines for COVID.
COVID was an unknown deadly virus, I wasn't risking it. I have children and the thought of leaving them behind should I get really ill, scares me enormously. I have had it, felt pretty shitty, but had I not had my vaccine I may have been a lot worse.
I lost my best friend to it, yes she had underlying issues but ultimately it was COVID that contributed to her death.

I don't think the vaccines were a money making/brainwashing hoax, I think they have helped save many lives.

Your views/experiences?
DELTA OMICRON = MEDIA CONTROL

The Truth the media and the people:

People where shown images and it was preached and preached to make it seem worse than it was!

How do you people know what is the truth or not.. ohhhhhh is it coz you heard it on the news, in newspaper, on stupid talk shows, on radio and so on.. that does not make it the truth..mostly they are LYING especially when they censor, ban and do other things against those who want to warn people. Whereas others preaching about it on talk shows got paid

Who got rich during that time? HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE TO MAKE A "VACCINE" AND BEFORE IT IS OUT FOR PEOPLE TO GET?? You need to ask questions Yeah bullshit that there was no "hoax"

They where making [c=A69800]unvaccinated people look like the problem when they where not [/c] what u usually here e.g. the first story is not the truth.. there are [c=A69800]TWO SIDES TO A STORY. Yet people seem to forget that.[/c] and doing ur own research is key ;)
"To those who are free, their minds shall be key"
Not all that u hear or see is the truth.. they lied and made things up and if you ask questions and find out things for yourself you can see the Real Truth instead of the on being preached to us by clowns and puppets who do not give a shit about you

It was not that bad, and the "flu" was apparently gone..what the heck do u think about that?? They made it seem worse than it was to make people scared and to get something they did not need and people died from the so called "safe vaccine" also how the fuck do YOU PEOPLE EXPLAIN so many deaths e.g. young people dying even those who are in sport?? Something weird about that or am I not allowed to say that and will I be attacked/harassed again seconds after my posting of an answer.

[c=A69800]OK SO..Another thing or question YOU should ask is..what where the Germans and people doing and saying during and AFTER the second world war? Huh? Any answer to that or was it
We where doing what we where told..
[/c] does nobody see that this is kinda just the same 🤦‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
@whisperingwillow [big][c=A69800]
I was talking to her, not you. She can decide how she feels about what I said all for herself. I hope you have a good day
Yeah sure u are typing to me and well it is nice that someone is sticking up for me on here so that is allowed.

It is not nice getting constantly attacked and harassed by a group/gang do yeah am not gonna answer another user who has something against my answer and jumping on it a few mins/secs after I answer. [/c][/big]

@PrincessRoarBuddy I was simply offering some unsolicited advice. People say stuff to me all the time and I never assume they’re attacking me. I was just pointing out people with different views aren’t going to take you seriously if you’re rude

@PrincessRoarBuddy Uuuuhhh, I’m not a gang or group buuuuut okaaaay. You just carry on being you. I wish you enlightenment and all the best

Exactly as you said. I have had the vaccine and two boosters. My elderly parents have had six.

I have found no scientific evidence that proves the vaccines are a scam. None of my family, friends, or acquaintances have experienced anything more than a fever or sore arm at worst after having the vaccines. And sadly, I have lost one friend who was a rabid anti-vaxxer, caught covid and was dead within a week. He was 28.
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
@SW-User Sorry about your friend, but that's the thing. No-one knows how the virus would effect them. Common sense was to be vaccinated.

@SW-User sorry about your friend. 😞

@Jeephikelove Thank you. Hope you're well :)

Vaccines for respiratory viruses are generally a waste of time. They have no lasting effect, and a healthy person should be able to fight a flu-like illness, which is what covid is.

As for my political views, they are varied and difficult to define. Mostly, I want to see less government oversight, less interference from the state, the elimination of stupid or unfair laws, more respect given to individuals and their families, for all silly and inadequate teachers and professors to be fired from schools, more parental oversight in schools, more jobs, less immigration from low skilled workers, more affordable (but better) housing, and so on.

I'd also end sanctions on Russia.
@SW-User this might just be the best thing i have read all day.

I just believe that every society needs different economic models according to their history, moral values of the citizens and the stage of development. Left and right means different things in different societies or those who present themselves as advocates of left or right principles could be in fact just populists having only their own individual profit in mind.
Instead of just blindly saying I'm middle or left or right, I prefer to take out individual societal issues and address them individually. I'm actually undecided about a lot of stuff, tbh.
These are some I'm sure about though:

- Women have the right to professional abortion. Whether or not it should be covered by NHS I'm undecided but I don't have an issue with it if it is. I am strongly pro-choice. No women should be prosecuted for having an abortion in any way.

- I'm against compulsory public health care insurance. Provided that if you have a medical issue and don't have the insurance, it's your problem. But I'm against states automatically making you a debtor if you don't pay them some fee just because you were born there and therefore you're a citizen of the state.

- I believe the state must have certain control over the trade with land. There should be a law that forbids to make certain parts of the country private such as coastal areas, lakes, woods etc. They should be available to everyone.

- Children in public institutions such as schools and kindergartens have the right to be protected against dangerous diseases therefore these institutions should have the right to exclude children who hasn't been vaccinated. However, unvaccinated children by choice of their own parents should have an alternative to be accepted in private schools with their own rules about vaccination.

- Same with other private institutions. For example, during the pandemic, I believe the state shouldn't have the right to control the vaccination policy of the small private companies. However, health care insurance companies would have the right to blacklist such businesses and if you get a medical issue as a consequence from using their services and willingly risking your health, they might refuse to cover your expenses.

- Also, I believe that the state shouldn't have the right to forbid individuals to go to certain areas under the pretext of protecting them from danger. There should be issued a warning "do this on your own responsibility" and the rescuers shouldn't have the duty to rescue you if you decided to go there despite the warning. It would be different if they did it to protect the environment or other people in the area though...

- Medical marijuana should be legal

- Same-sex couples should have the same legal rights as opposite-sex couples.

- I won't express my opinion on the USA, as I don't live there and don't know the real situation but I would absolutely detest this right to own a gun without any or very sloppy regulations in Europe. Gun ownership should be registered and controlled to a certain degree. Not everyone should have the right to own a gun.
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
@CrazyMusicLover Good points, and a fair outlook. Alot of what goes on in the US is questionable and sadly the UK shows to be going the same way. I'm not religious but I'm praying it doesn't come to that and hopefully future changes do actually benefit everyone. Not just a select few.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Lanie78 Another thing that comes to my mind is that I'm against the formations of "states within states" and think that countries should put some effort into prevention of that happening. By this I mean when individual communities get segregated that much that you get entire parts of the cities consisting of ethnic minorities where different societal rules apply and where the locals are basically afraid to go because for example, they know that the community is governed by gangs or local mafia out of the reach of the official government or there's already some sort of xenophobia despite that it's them who emigrated into a foreign country. I know it's normal in many countries but I think that if you emigrate somewhere, you should be motivated to learn the official language of the country, be tolerant of the original culture and accept it as the main local culture as opposed to scream for your rights to live the same life you lived in your home country.

i used to be left leaning till people on that side became utterly insane and i found myself agreeing more and more with the right side.
I personally hate politics and its the weirdest thing to me how people get so obsessed over it and basically worship any politician that says what they want to hear.
Politicians are all leeches and will say whatever they can to get more money and power. None of them are to be trusted, yet so many are fooled.
Its all weird to me

@whisperingwillow good to see i am not the only one here like that
Fairydust · F
I have 5 family members that have vaccine damage. One has pericarditis now due to the vaccine, healthy 20 something before.
My mothers been poorly since her boosters, in and out of hospital, heart issues. She had to have her lungs drained.
All the ones that didn’t get vaccinated, didn’t get poorly with covid, the vaccinated ones did.
Fairydust · F
@Lanie78 that’s what they want you to believe.
whisperingwillow · 36-40, F
@Fairydust My dad has had to have his lungs cleared out 4 times now….now I’m wondering if his vaccine has anything to do with it. :/
Fairydust · F
@whisperingwillow

My mum reacted with the first one, couldn’t lift her arm for over 6 months, it was swollen like an orange where it went in.
She mentioned it but they just said yeah we’ll put in in your other arm. 🙄
Anyway it was the booster that made her poorly, her heart at resting was really very high, she couldn’t walk anywhere, without getting out of breath, she always been a very fit person for her age, walks her dog for miles.
She just changed very quickly.

She spent months in and out of hospital having tests, just before Christmas last year she had to have them drained, the doctors told her not to get any more vaccines.

The side affects are 9 pages long!!
Probably is, many blame long covid but it’ll be the vaccine, it’s all covered up. Pfizer who wanted to keep the data secret for 75 years, had to release it by the high court, just around the time Russia and Ukraine distraction happened. Funny that! They are pure evil that pushed this.
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
I work in healthcare with the elderly, I also have asthma so in the beginning ya I was pretty scared of getting Covid, especially working around the few people in our facility that got it. I did get the vaccine, at the time it was mandated, get it or lose my job. I also got 2 boosters, but stopped after that. Booster #2 made me really sick for a day and effected my asthma badly, it took a few weeks to get it under control again. I haven’t seen any side affects from the vaccine but won’t get any more and thankfully I have not ever gotten Covid and I still work around people when they’re sick with it.

I am a libertarian or your old fashioned liberal. I am for freedom of speech and freedom of choice.
Nothing has been handed to me on a plate either and I have had to fight to get what I wanted. I sure do not believe in an all good utopian civilisation to come for I have seen too many bad sides of human nature.
I am way way more liberal and relaxed than the marxist kids nowadays who I view as extremely uptight and humourless.
I believe people evolve with experience and age. I used to believe in lots of things before but with time I was not so convinced
I strongly believe that we live in a scam world more and more where nothing is really what we are led to believe.
Fairydust · F
@Lanie78 you should look into Rockefeller who created the pharmaceutical world.

The media was created to programme you. 📺

PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
I totally agree with you. Granted alot of ppl that didn't take the vaccine didn't get sick or die...but...that is how viruses work...they were just lucky. Over 7 million died because of covid.
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
@PTCdresser57 Huge death toll. Just awful, and people are still dying.
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
I know Lanie78. My nephews wife had all the shots....got covid and was still down for 4 days. She said if not for the shots she felt she might have died.
whisperingwillow · 36-40, F
I understand how a lot of people feel this way. I also understand a lot of peoples were faced with having to choose between their freedom to say no to the vaccine or losing their job.

I don’t believe in ridiculing anyone for getting or not getting the vaccine. We were all just doing the best we could with the information we had available to us in a very unfamiliar, trying situation.

I did not get the vaccine, nor would I have allowed my daughter to get it if she’d been old enough. I also do not need to defend what I do with my body to anyone else. I took all other precautions and was respectful toward what others wanted and needed. My dad didn’t even get to
hold his granddaughter for months due to social distancing. That wouldn’t have been any different even if we’d gotten the vaccine so 💁🏻‍♀️

I’ve seen several people in my age group who got the vaccine just up and die. Perfectly healthy young people. One died in her sleep, the others suddenly had their heart fail while playing sports. I’ve heard stories from others who regret getting the vaccine due to lingering side effects, but they just did what they thought was best. I know people who got the vaccine and died of Covid anyway-including my biological dad :( My SIL has had Covid 4 times now, the first 2 she got horribly sick. She’s had all her boosters and currently has it again right now.

I wanted to wait to see how it effected others before I put something strange in my body. I’m glad I did.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I had a friend who had multiple health issues and she died from the flu a few years ago. If you noticed the statistics during the Covid era there were hardly any flu deaths and after it was over the flu deaths returned to normal . Don’t you find that means something? How did COVID scare the flu away like that?
Fairydust · F
@cherokeepatti

My friends husband died from the flu jab, years ago, he was healthy and when she questioned it, they wouldn’t admit it was the jab, fobbed her off.

Remember when they couldn’t wait to tell us how many died everyday. 🙄

@Fairydust I’ve heard numbers and it’s horrible. Not just here but around the world.

@cherokeepatti

Yeah it’s being covered up, pure evil 👿
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
While I agree the media played a big part. A lot of scare mongering etc.
COVID is still a deadly virus.
Historically there has been other Pandemics and back then there was no media, no real science to prevent illness (vaccines) and again many people died.

For some yes vaccines they'll have an adverse reaction to but still that's a small minority of people. So when you look at it logically being vaccinated is common sense.

Again though it is personal choice, and your vaccination status shouldn't effect employment etc.
Eklipse · F
I'm vaccinated so bit too late to think of that for me. I caught covid anyway the whole family did. Same cluster less than 24hrs and I was at the doctor who said it's a common cold back then! and we were still in the worst restrictions of the pandemic. What could have happened had we not taken them I'd rather not think about as it wasn't the case. Politics? It's always politics. At least it didn't cost me my life. Think about it that way.
I don't even bother to pretend to be moderately left anymore, although unlike ssome of the rad left tend to get on just fine with the more moderate elements, but I'm like a Liason because among my friends Are the Radicals and moderates and frankly they might not be aware of it but we're closer than I am to the moderates.

I'm reasonably certain though most would not openly identify as Extremist as our views are not actually that far from the mainstream.

But even having this friend in particular is a signal.
Socialist Alternative party member and Friend of Kshama Sawant.

But I can't help but think of myself as Far Left given the outcomes of our rigged system.

Fully vaccinated and boosted, not sure if If its time to get another but looking into it.

In the eyes of many Spear is Extreme left. My own Partner is openly Socialist Identified so...

My people tend to use Liberal as a Slur but not in the way you're thinking. it's more that we're further left than liberal.

I don’t think the vaccines were a hoax or money making conspiracy, but that doesn’t mean it was a great idea to take them when evidence seem to imply, we do just as fine if not better without it. And the establishment push for everyone to take the vaccines was pretty creepy.
yugimotodm · 26-30, M
I’d say my views are similar to yours
Wonder how the CEOs and major stockholders of these pharma companies did. Eating steak and lobster while the people suffer.
@Lanie78 I am not against vaccines. I am fully in favor of vaccines that have gone through years of successful clinical studies.
Lanie78 · 41-45, F
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Yeah I was a bit reluctant, I think many were. The alternative though and not having it could have turned out a completely different story.
@Lanie78 i had to have it for work......... i was reluctant........ but, i gotta eat and my family enjoys electricity.

Politics and I are not bedmates.
I did not have the covid shot .
I thought I'd try my luck with my own immunity.
Bringing it a bit up to date with the viruses of the time.

I just stay away from the subject entirely. We live in a time of culture and media.... where nothing can make sense. I can say I got vaccinated, I never caught covid to my knowledge, but I don't get sick often and don't get vaccinated other than standard ones given as a child (in Canada).... so maybe it helped? Maybe, it didn't. I'll never know.
