Have you ever done something nice and your intention got misunderstood?

I had to have surgery to repair my wrist. A company who rents out ice machines for therapy offered to loan me their machine. The young guy delivered it and then offered to take me to the surgi center because my brother couldn't take me and pick me up for the surgery.

I was so touched by the kindness, i gave him leads to help him in business plus i offered to help him at the convention. I was going to take him to 3 vendors.

I don't know if he misread my intentions but he stopped returning my calls. I never gave him anything other than business leads...what the hell.

It looks to me that HE did something nice and it now feels like an intrusion.

If I give someone a sandwich I don’t expect business mentoring in return.

May HE’S in a hospital. Maybe he lost his phone. There are a whole lot of possibilities.

It’s fairly absurd for two nice people to have issues over a random act of kindness. If he wants to call you back, he will. If he doesn’t, he has no obligation. He drove you to the hospital.

I don’t question your kind heart. But it sounds like he thinks he knows what he’s doing and wants to continue doing it the way he prefers.

Yes, it happens quite often, and it is usually by this younger cell phone generation that has no clue about personal communication skills.
