@WandererTony I think we live in the world we make for ourselves right? So if we keep lowering our expectations, it'll keep getting worse. No, we have to bear the disappointment but we can't give up on making a more perfect society. It'll be the death of being a human and what it means.

@WandererTony You don't get it. You really don't. Society isn't just becoming less polite. It's becoming more sadistic. People are becoming more heartless, ruthless, and evil. And your solution is to just go with it.

@WandererTony With respect, that doesn’t necessarily follow. It’s been my experience that even people convinced that the world and everyone in it is garbage are no happier to be proven correct about that than those who didn’t believe it.

@LordShadowfire There is a difference between continuing to protest and not expecting society to improve.
For example, i continue and will continue to appeal against the killing of children in the middle East. However i do not expect the Americans to stop funding the Isreali aggresion.

Of course i am not talking of extremes. I have not encountered people who are convinced that everything in this world is garbage! And i am happy for that 😊

@WandererTony You are fortunate. Sadly, I have, and while on some level I can understand their bitterness, it doesn’t seem very productive longterm. The thing is, I’m seeing it more often now.
