I haven't gotten a flu shot since 1998. If I get the shot, I am fevered and achy for 3-4 days. If I get the flu, I am fevered and achy for 3-4 days, but I don't get the flu every year. Maybe once every 5 years. As I get older I will consider getting the flu shot.
My friend Donna just had one, and immediately came down with a honking big case of the stomach flu. She was sick for days...and I was working with her IN the kitchen when she casually mentioned...that she was STILL SICK. I just love that...NOT.
@4meAndyou That class I was in last Thursday. One of the women emailed everyone that she was feeling sick and tested positive for covid. โน Fortunately I feel fine.
@Musicman yes, i have the day off. had turkey dinner last night and you can guess what will be for dinner tonight too....yep, leftovers. but now it's nice to just relax, nice, sunny day here....you guys still have beautiful sunshine and warm weather? i should have travelled with the canucks on this road trip as they are in both florida cities starting thursday in sunrise and saturday in tampa. so far we are 0-4 on this road trip ๐คฃ
@Musicman no more shots of that type period, especially COVID,. Even though I went to the hospital last October a year ago with pneumonia and a blood infection, I refused the pneumonia shot too. Plus I don't understand if I wanted it. Why the hell I can't get into my doctor's office. You tell me what kind of sense that makes. I can get a flu shot in my doctor's office. I can get a tetanus shot in my doctor's office. I can get a shingle shot in my doctor's office. I can't get a COVID shot or a pneumonia shot. What kind of logic is this? The one COVID shot I did get the first go-around I picked the J&J regardless of the issues because it was developed the old-fashioned way and my pharmacist gave it to me.
@Gibbon We did the first and second covid shot. We went with Moderma. After the second shot my wife developed a rash over most of her body. She has also had two kidney surgeries, uterine cancer, a complete hysterectomy and radiation. Did the vaccine have anything to do with it. ๐คทโโ
@AbbeyRhode I didn't use to either. Then I became pre diabetic. Now I have to take an injection every other week. It took 9 months before I could actually give it to myself.
Nope. The docs here don't take them, they are less than 4% effective and its good old Pfizer and Moderna, the creeps that tried to kill us with the Covid vax.
I donโt take flu shots. I got them 3 times back when I was in my 30โs. I would have paraflu each time, not only once during the winter but 3 times. Paraflu lasts 2 weeks with followed by 2 weeks of fatigue. A few years later a primary care doctor asked me if I had gotten my flu shot. I told him about the paraflu and that it happened each time after a flu shot. He shook his head and remarked โI canโt take them eitherโ. No medical person ever warned me about paraflu. But they would continue to push the flu shots.
