Had it all my life. I don’t treat it, but I do run a fan in the bedroom all year to help drown it out while I sleep.

@Zaphod42 Sorry about that, but ty.

Probably from playing drums in a band - and also lots of live music clubs....
It's a sort of background noise, I ignore it.
It goes silent, very rarely, and when it does, it's very weird.

I have been deaf in my left ear since I was 11. I had a typical little kid's ear infection complicated by tonsillitis. And I was a musician and played loud music. I've had tinnitus since I was 11. I don't know what I can do about it.

Mine started when I did some guided hypnosis or meditation I forgot, but it was hemi sync. I'd still listen to hemi sync because I'm not sure if that was the cause but that's when it developed

No idea how it started. No treatment that I know of.
OverTheHill · 61-69, M
@Confined Ok, ty.

@OverTheHill You can treat it. Go see your GP or an ear specialist.
Many young adults have it. It sounds like permanent cicadas in your ears.
