You have to have bodily contact to catch it. Basically you have to either sleep with someone or wrestle with someone.

My cat doesn't have it, so I am all set.

If I am really feeling terrorized though, (not), I could always go and get a smallpox vaccination, which, apparently, works just fine.
Nimbus · M
@4meAndyou I now feel more informed :)
4meAndyou · F
@Nimbus As IF you were not already aware...🤣🤣🤣
Freeranger · M
So...... if before I go to bed, I cover myself in boy butter (vaseline), I should potentially, avoid the late unpleasantness?
Iwillwait · M
This is the End Times starting.
Nimbus · M
@Iwillwait They said that about Covid.
4meAndyou · F
@Iwillwait I know you are serious...just want to share that my church believes that we really ARE in the end times.
Iwillwait · M
@4meAndyou I agree. All the signs point to the Prophecies.
LadyJ · F
No..that looks perfectly normal 😏😳😱😂
Nimbus · M
@LadyJ Luckily I am abnormal ;)
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Reminds me of chicken pox. I had a bad case when I was 11 years old.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nimbus I had a mild case when I was two and a harder case when I was 11 and I believe stress played a role in me catching it both times
Nimbus · M
@cherokeepatti Awwwwwww
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nimbus my mother had a breakdown right before school got out in the spring and I got a bad case of chickenpox not long after
helenS · 36-40, F
It does not appear to be a threat to non-endemic countries:

Elessar · 26-30, M
@helenS COVID didn't appear to be a huge risk either at first, especially the first week (or actually, the first couple of months, from January to March). We gotta see how this develops, too.
SW-User
So are we done with Covid now?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I’m skurd senseless. Lol
sally1981 · 41-45, F
Not really as it is Gay Men that catch it that is what the UK Government say, so monkey pox will not be a problem for Girls.
Nimbus · M
@sally1981 Good to hear 👍

🥺
exchrist · 31-35
don't even care the cure is Tabaranthe Ibogaine TA
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
apparently, not enough Caucasian people are catching it...

https://qz.com/africa/2169315/using-black-peoples-images-for-monkeypox-in-media-draw-backlash/

In short, monkey pox is "racist" because all the pictures all over the internet of people who caught it are black...🤔
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@wildbill83 Apparently gays are catching it when they have little get togethers. Heard it wasn’t that easy to catch, takes skin-to-skin contact.
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@cherokeepatti wouldn't that be a twist of irony, a virus/disease that targets the self entitled... 🤔
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@wildbill83 promiscuous self indulgence spreads disease
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
No. I know the game plan.
eli1601 · 70-79, M
Smallpox vaccinations were required for school kids in the 1950's when I started school (In the US anyway). I'm not sure when that ended.
4meAndyou · F
@eli1601 They stopped in 1971.
Nimbus · M
@eli1601 Interesting 👍
smiler2012 · 56-60
not as such nimby but it is scary as it like covid it can spread around the world very quckly with travel [nimbus]
Nimbus · M

smiler2012 · 56-60

Iwillwait · M
@Nimbus Why u gotta say, "Yet?" 🤨
You tryna jinx us!?
CestManan · 46-50, F
It does not even matter, they are going to just keep coming up with new diseases to screw people over. People are not going to win no matter what so why even f'in worry?
Elessar · 26-30, M
Scared is fine, scarred may be worse.
Nimbus · M
@Elessar Oh, I like that! 😆
Slade · 56-60, M
@Elessar what a great kulak. Waiting for orders, unquestioned!
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Slade Said the guy who gets outraged at what the party tells him to get outraged at. Did you get over "election fraud" or are you still whining? lol
shuhak · M
Nah... I heard they only affect murder hornets.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@shuhak No, it does affect humans. How do you think George Floyd died?
Nimbus · M
@shuhak 😯
Nanori · F
Scared it might lead to another lockdown
Nimbus · M
@Nanori Now that IS a concern.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Nanori As if the world isn't screwed up now as it is.
Ceinwyn · 26-30, F

@Stereoguy Pfizer has also admitted that Covid is the seasonal flu. But the media has touched on it have they? Pfizer has their butt in a sling
